Who am I?
Hey y'all. Devon here. I'm a born and bred Texan, currently living in the DFW area. I have four great loves in life: Diet Coke, Disney, Theatre, and my family and friends (or "Framily"). I spent years getting a bachelor's degree in music education only to figure out a classroom was not where I wanted to be.
Creativity has always run through my veins. I started bullet journaling my last few semesters of college to fix my horrible handwriting from scribbling fast notes in class. As I explored Pinterest and Instagram I discovered the beautiful art of calligraphy. It's not just pretty handwriting. Three years later, I figured I'm getting pretty good at it. I started practicing on the chalkboards at work, then branched out from there.
About the Biz
I started Center Stage Designs in 2018. It gave me the best excuse to practice my hobby and call it "work" ha! My work has stretched across various mediums, beginning with chalkboards for The Owners Box Sports Bar in Dallas. My work now also includes graduation caps, custom signs for weddings or other events, and even tattoo designs. One of my favorite parts of music and theatre is the ability to make an impact on those who experience it. This is my main mission for Center Stage Designs. I wish for the art that I create to inspire and impact those around me.
